Dancing in a Hurricane

Dancing in the Hurricane
Written by Rana M

For all that I see myself in the mirror from head to toe
My soul stares at me & towards the  glibly grief that I know

The shock my prodigal pain lies in the depth of my emotions
The storms that I live in are horrifying & belligerent to show

The charm of shaping rain has dulled in these moments
More hurtful the soul felt as the shrewdness of sorrows grow

The shadows in the dark are violent in the heartless heavy wind
Lightening struck to torch my charms , as I witness the truth is so

My heart is nothing but a tiny little kite dancing in the hurricane
My pain is permanent, heavier and thicker than the glittering snow
